Overview
In medieval times, monks collected inspiring passages about philosophy and living life well into florilegia: commonplace books that served as bouquets of literary and philosophical flowers, gathering words of wisdom to be shared with others and future generations. Today, these anthologies move beyond books to live in hybrid plant and digital forms.
Within this garden of visual delights, people could commune with floral intelligence through interactive visual and sonic experiences, explore inspiration from our florilegium stored in the flower circles by touching them with their phone, or simply bask in the presence of our plant kin.
Mixed media with gelatin-based bioplastic, locally-foraged flowers and plants, acrylic, projection, yarn, branches
